Terms of Service.

How PADL Club works, what you agree to when you use the platform, and the rules that keep leagues fair.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the PADL Club platform (padlclub.app), including our website, mobile applications, and related services (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service.

PADL Club reserves the right to update these Terms at any time. We will notify registered users of material changes via email or in-app notification. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

2. About PADL Club

PADL Club is operated by PADL Club Pty Ltd (ABN 24 697 193 221), a company registered in New South Wales, Australia.

For legal enquiries, contact us at hello@padlclub.app.

3. Eligibility & Accounts

You must be at least 16 years of age to use the Service. By creating an account, you represent that the information you provide is accurate, current, and complete. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.

Each person may only maintain one account. Accounts are non-transferable. You are solely responsible for all activity that occurs under your account, including any matches played, scores submitted, or payments made.

4. Service Description

PADL Club provides a platform for organising and managing padel sports leagues, tournaments, and related activities. The Service includes, but is not limited to:

  • League and season management (registration, standings, scheduling)
  • Tournament bracket organisation (single elimination, double elimination, cup, and masters formats)
  • Match scheduling, score reporting, and result confirmation
  • Player rankings and performance tracking
  • Social features including activity feeds, friends, and notifications
  • AI-powered coaching insights and performance analysis
  • Payment processing for season fees and tournament entry

Court bookings are handled externally through third-party booking platforms or directly with participating clubs. PADL Club is not responsible for court availability, pricing, or booking disputes.

5. User Conduct

When using the Service, you agree to:

  • Treat all players, moderators, and administrators with respect
  • Report match scores accurately and honestly
  • Honour scheduled matches or provide reasonable notice for cancellations
  • Not manipulate standings, rankings, or results through collusion or match-fixing
  • Not create fake accounts, impersonate other users, or engage in harassment
  • Comply with all applicable laws and regulations

Violation of these conduct standards may result in warnings, temporary suspension, or permanent removal from the platform at the discretion of league administrators and PADL Club staff.

6. Payments & Refunds

Certain features of the Service require payment, including league season registration fees, tournament entry fees, and premium subscription plans. All payments are processed securely through a PCI-DSS Level 1 certified payment processor. PADL Club does not store your full payment card details.

Registration & Season Fees

League registration must be completed at least 10 days before the season start date. This lead time is required to guarantee court bookings at participating clubs, as court availability is limited and players must confirm their bookings with the club before the first match.

Refund Policy

All refunds are issued by PADL Club directly to your original payment method.

  • Refund: Available if you withdraw before the refund deadline set on that season entry. Each season specifies its own withdrawal deadline at registration
  • No refund: Withdrawals made after the refund deadline, or after the season has commenced, are not eligible for a refund
  • Free entries: Seasons or tournaments offered at no cost (including complimentary, promotional, or sponsored entries) are not eligible for a refund
  • Injury or exceptional circumstances: If you are unable to participate due to injury or genuine exceptional circumstances (e.g., bereavement, relocation), contact us at hello@padlclub.app and we will assess refund eligibility on a case-by-case basis
  • Tournament entry fees: Non-refundable after the registration deadline, unless the tournament is cancelled by the organiser

Refunds are typically processed within 5–10 business days. You will receive an email confirmation when your refund has been issued.

Refunds to Original Payment Method

Where a refund is due, it will be processed only to the same payment method originally used for the transaction (including card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, or any other method supported at the time of purchase), in accordance with applicable law and the payment provider's rules. We cannot redirect refunds to a different bank account or payment method on request.

If the original payment method is no longer available (for example, because a bank account has been closed or a card has been cancelled or expired), it is your responsibility to liaise with your bank or payment provider to recover the funds. To the extent permitted by applicable law, PADL Club shall not be responsible for any inability to complete a refund caused by the closure, cancellation, or unavailability of your original payment method.

Disputed Payments and Chargebacks

If you dispute a payment with your bank or card issuer (a "chargeback") for a charge made through PADL Club, you acknowledge that:

  • The disputed amount may be recorded as an outstanding debt on your PADL Club account
  • We may temporarily restrict access to certain features or services, including the ability to register for seasons, enter tournaments, or participate in matches, until the outstanding balance is resolved
  • We may contact you to clarify the disputed charge and offer to resolve the matter directly
  • We reserve the right to take reasonable measures to recover outstanding balances resulting from disputed transactions, in accordance with applicable law

We encourage you to contact us at hello@padlclub.app before initiating a dispute with your bank, so any misunderstanding about charges or registrations can be addressed promptly. This clause applies only to disputes formally initiated with a financial institution. Failed payments due to expired cards or insufficient funds are handled separately and do not automatically constitute a chargeback.

Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any consumer guarantee under the Australian Consumer Law (Schedule 2 of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth)). If the Service fails to meet a consumer guarantee, you are entitled to the remedies available under Australian Consumer Law, including a refund where the failure is major.

7. Subscriptions & Cancellation

PADL Club offers optional premium subscription plans (such as PADL Coach Premium) that provide enhanced features and unlimited access to certain tools.

Billing

  • Subscriptions are billed on a recurring basis (monthly or annually) through our payment processor
  • Your subscription will automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled
  • Price changes will be communicated at least 30 days in advance via email

Cancellation

  • You can cancel your subscription at any time through your Account Settings on the PADL Club website (padlclub.app). All subscription management is handled via the web browser
  • Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period — you retain access to premium features until then
  • No partial refunds are issued for unused time within a billing period
  • After cancellation, your account reverts to the free tier and any data generated during your premium subscription remains accessible in read-only form

Free Trials

If a free trial is offered, you will be notified before the trial ends and before any charge is made. If you do not cancel before the trial period expires, your subscription will automatically convert to a paid plan.

8. Score Disputes & Resolution

When a score is submitted, the opposing team has 24 hours to confirm or dispute the result. If a dispute is raised, the league moderator or tournament administrator will review the case and make a final determination.

PADL Club provides tools for dispute resolution but is not a party to disputes between players. The decision of league moderators is final for league-level disputes. Platform-level disputes may be escalated to PADL Club support.

9. Match Attendance & No-Shows

League matches and tournament fixtures depend on every player turning up. By registering for a season or tournament, you commit to attending the matches you are scheduled to play, or providing reasonable notice to your team and the league administrator if you are unable to attend.

Late Arrival

If a player arrives more than 15 minutes after the scheduled match start time, the present players may choose between two options:

  • Wait and play: The match proceeds with the late player. Submitting a match result confirms the match was played in full and no refund or adjustment applies
  • Declare a no-show: The match is forfeited by the absent or late team. Standard no-show consequences apply (see below). If a result is later submitted, the no-show declaration is voided

No-Show Consequences

A no-show is recorded when a player fails to attend a scheduled match without reasonable notice, or leaves a match before it has been completed without a valid reason (such as injury sustained during play, or a court or facility issue that prevents continued play).

  • The match is recorded as a forfeit in the league standings
  • The non-attending player may receive a warning, ranking adjustment, or other sanction at the discretion of the league administrator
  • Repeat no-shows within a season may result in removal from the league without refund
  • No-show entries are not eligible for a season-fee refund

Valid Exceptions

A no-show will not be recorded where:

  • An injury occurs during the match itself
  • The court or facility is unfit for play (e.g., flooding, equipment failure, power outage)
  • A final match result has been submitted and confirmed by both teams
  • The league administrator accepts the reason for absence as exceptional

Disputes about no-show recordings should be raised with your league administrator in the first instance. PADL Club support may assist where the administrator is unable to resolve the matter.

10. Intellectual Property

The PADL Club name, logo, and all related trademarks, service marks, and branding are the property of PADL Club Pty Ltd. The Service, including its design, features, and content, is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.

You retain ownership of any content you submit (such as profile photos and comments). By submitting content, you grant PADL Club a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use, display, and distribute that content in connection with the Service.

12. Venue & Court Conditions

Matches and tournaments organised through PADL Club are played at independently operated clubs and venues. PADL Club is a scheduling and league management platform — we do not own, operate, maintain, or supervise courts or facilities.

You acknowledge and accept that:

  • Court maintenance and safety are the sole responsibility of the venue operator. PADL Club is not liable for the condition, quality, or availability of any court, equipment, lighting, or facility
  • Venue information (including photos, opening hours, amenities, contact details, and court specifications) is supplied by the venue and may be inaccurate or out-of-date. You should verify critical details directly with the venue before attending
  • Booking confirmation with the venue is recommended, especially for the first match of a season or any tournament fixture. PADL Club is not responsible for double-bookings, court reassignments, or last-minute cancellations made by the venue
  • Weather and environmental closures are managed by the venue. Refer to the venue's weather policy for outdoor courts. PADL Club is not liable for weather-related cancellations
  • Equipment (rackets, balls, protective gear) is your own responsibility unless the venue explicitly provides it. PADL Club does not warrant the availability or condition of venue-provided equipment
  • Venue-specific rules (dress codes, footwear, membership requirements, access policies) apply when you play at a venue. You are responsible for familiarising yourself with them

Where a venue issue affects a scheduled match, please notify your league administrator. PADL Club may assist in rescheduling or facilitating communication with the venue but is not a party to any dispute between you and the venue.

13. Assumption of Risk

Padel is a physical sport that carries inherent risks of injury. By using the Service to participate in padel leagues, tournaments, and matches, you acknowledge and accept that:

  • You participate in all padel activities entirely at your own risk
  • PADL Club is a scheduling and league management platform only — we do not operate courts, supervise matches, or provide coaching (except AI-generated insights which are informational only and not a substitute for professional advice)
  • You are responsible for assessing your own physical fitness and suitability to participate
  • You should carry appropriate personal insurance if you are concerned about injury
  • You are responsible for ensuring the court and equipment meet reasonable safety standards before playing

To the maximum extent permitted by law, PADL Club, its directors, employees, and agents are not liable for any personal injury, property damage, or loss arising from participation in padel activities organised through the Service.

14. Termination

You may delete your account at any time through Account Settings. Upon deletion, your personal data will be removed in accordance with our Privacy Policy, though anonymised match records and league history may be retained for the integrity of league standings and statistics.

PADL Club reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, engage in abusive behaviour, or compromise the integrity of the platform. Where possible, we will provide notice and an opportunity to respond before terminating your account.

15. Force Majeure

PADL Club is not liable for any failure or delay in performing obligations under these Terms where such failure or delay results from circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to:

  • Natural disasters, extreme weather, or public health emergencies
  • Government restrictions, lockdowns, or venue closures
  • Court facility closures or third-party service outages
  • Internet or infrastructure disruptions

In the event of a force majeure affecting a season or tournament, PADL Club will work with league administrators to reschedule affected matches where possible or provide pro-rata credits for cancellations.

16. Limitation of Liability

Subject to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law (which cannot be excluded), the Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, PADL Club's total liability for any claims arising from use of the Service shall not exceed the amount paid by you to PADL Club in the 12 months preceding the claim.

These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Sydney, NSW.

17. Indemnification

To the maximum extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless PADL Club Pty Ltd, its directors, officers, employees, contractors, agents, and affiliates from and against any third-party claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or in connection with:

  • Any negligent act, omission, or wilful misconduct on your part
  • Your access to or use of the Service
  • Any content you upload, submit, or post through the Service (including profile information, comments, match notes, and dispute submissions)
  • Any breach by you of these Terms
  • Your violation of any law or of any rights of any third party (including other players, venues, or coaches)

PADL Club reserves the exclusive right to settle, compromise, and defend any claim or cause of action brought against us without your prior consent. If we ask you to, you will co-operate fully and reasonably in the defence of any relevant claim.

This indemnification does not require you to indemnify PADL Club for any matter caused by our own fraud, wilful misconduct, or breach of consumer guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.

18. General Provisions

Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any document expressly referred to in them, constitute the entire agreement between you and PADL Club in relation to your use of the Service, and supersede any prior agreement, understanding, or promise made verbally or in writing between the parties on the same subject matter. You acknowledge that, in entering into these Terms, you have not relied on any statement or promise made by PADL Club other than those expressly set out in these Terms.

Severability

If any provision of these Terms is held by a court or competent authority to be invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable in whole or in part, that provision (or the affected part of it) will be deemed severed from these Terms to the extent required. The validity and enforceability of the remaining provisions will not be affected.

Waiver

No failure or delay by PADL Club in exercising any right, power, or remedy under these Terms will operate as a waiver of that right, power, or remedy, nor will any single or partial exercise preclude any other or further exercise. No waiver will be effective unless given in writing by PADL Club, and a waiver granted on one occasion will not be deemed a waiver of any subsequent breach or default.

Electronic Communications

By using the Service, you consent to receiving communications from us electronically (by email, push notification, or in-app message). You agree that all notices, agreements, disclosures, and other communications we provide to you electronically satisfy any legal requirement that such communications be in writing.

Assignment

You may not assign or transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms without our prior written consent. PADL Club may assign or transfer its rights and obligations under these Terms to any successor entity, including in the context of a merger, acquisition, or sale of business.
